What is CAND?

Based on ORTHOMEDICO’s experience in human clinical trials (clinical trials) as a food CRO, we developed this product to reduce the burden on monitors and on-site staff participating in the trials. The validity and reliability of CAND questionnaire have been verified by comparison with the photographic method, and papers on its effectiveness have been published in peer-reviewed academic journals.

The unit of intake at CAND is “servings,” and the amount is measured intuitively using a Rock–Paper–Scissors –based method.

• ▶ “Rock” is an image of the size of a clenched fist
• ▶ “Scissors” are an image of the amount of food you put on your index finger and middle finger.
• ▶ “Paper” is an image of the amount of food that would fit on the palm of your hand when you make paper or it refers to an image that fits in the palm of your hand.
